Hoddevik is a small village on the Stad peninsula along Norway’s west coast. Surrounded by tall mountains and facing the Norwegian Sea, the bay has become one of the most well-known surf spots in the country.

The wide opening of the bay toward the Atlantic ocean allows swells to roll straight in, while the surrounding mountains shelter the beach from strong winds - the combination makes Hoddevik a perfect surf destination.

Hoddevik often offer soft takeoffs and long shoulders, perfect conditions for longboarding.

The atmosphere in the water reflects the place itself. A small village, a relaxed surf community, and a lineup where beginners and experienced surfers often surf side by side.

Hoddevik has been part of Norwegian surf culture for decades, and for many surfers it’s one of the places they return to again and again.

Whether you’re visiting for your first surf session or returning for another season, Hoddevik offers something that’s hard to find elsewhere. Consistent waves, a unique landscape, and a relaxed surf culture. It’s not just about the conditions — it’s about the overall experience.
